1. Why should I switch to Gulf as my energy supplier?

If you haven't switched yet, you could save up to 15% per month (for residential customers), depending on your state, compared to current utility supply rates. Perhaps even more for other suppliers. When you switch, you can trust Gulf to keep prices low month after month.

2. Who can switch to Gulf?

Currently Gulf supplies electricity in Connecticut, Maine and Massachusetts, in areas serviced by Connecticut Light & Power, United Illuminating, Central Maine Power, Bangor Hydro, NSTAR, National Grid, and Western Massachusetts Electric Company. This covers almost all of those states. Look for additional states and service areas soon!

3. Will my electricity be interrupted if I switch?

No. Switching suppliers will not interrupt or make your power less reliable in any way. Your current utility will continue to provide delivery of your electricity.

4. Will I have to process more bills?

No.  Gulf will be listed as your electric supplier on your utility bill going forward. Other than that, there will be no changes to the billing process.

5. Is there a fee to switch to Gulf Electricity?

No.  Gulf does not charge any fees to switch. Once you switch, you have Gulf’s commitment to low prices.

6. What if I want to cancel?

If you've selected the variable rate option, no problem. You may cancel your Gulf contract at any time without penalty. If you chose the fixed rate option, please refer to your original services agreement for details.
